Dear all,

It is with great pride that I can say that we have really succeeded in opening a new fantastic IES school in Upplands Väsby. We started this journey by taking in 480 students in two parallels from year F - 7 in 2020. Today we have 540 students from year F - 8.
IES Upplands Väsby has a fantastic mix of teachers from all over the world which will lead to increased quality of teaching. At our school students are taught mathematics, science and English using the English language and depending on where the teachers come from, aesthetic subjects are taught in Swedish or English, depending on where the teacher comes from. Teaching in Swedish and social science is always taught in Swedish by native speakers.

I started my career as a mathematics and science teacher in Botkyrka and for the past 10 years, I’ve worked as a teacher and a principal in Vallentuna. My most recent assignment was as Head of Education in Vallentuna municipality.

My ambition is to make IES Upplands Väsby into a fantastic school for all students. I truly believe in IES’s ethos and that the start to all learning and reaching high academic achievements is a safe and calm learning environment.

I’m a principal who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of our students. Another passion of mine is football as I used to play for ÖSK football club. Nowadays, in my spare time, I stick to the sidelines as a football coach.

It is with great pride that we have accomplished building a strong team of passionate teachers and staff to join me in making IES Upplands Väsby fantastic, and I’m really looking forward to welcoming all excited students in August when school starts.
