The PTA is a non-profit organisation that works closely with class representatives and the school to ensure that the students have the best conditions to thrive and succeed in school. It is an important focus group which allows everyone involved to share ideas and discuss how our school can become even better.

The PTA also arranges social events for students, parents and school staff which adds to school life, whether these are educational seminars, parties or trips for students.

Over the years, the PTA volunteers have worked hard to be a powerful voice for all students and actively lead the effort to increase communication between the parents and the teachers or school administration.

Some accomplishments and initiatives:

• Annual Teacher Appreciation Week
• Annual Teacher's Day
• Special guest speakers (Internet safety, social media, growth mindset)
• Winter sports equipment/clothes sale
• New hallway benches for the students
• Safer bus waiting area

Membership:

The activities are mostly funded by membership fees. To continue having a PTA at IESU, please join by paying the membership fee of 100 SEK per family.
Please pay by Swish to  073-3661214  (Kajsa Bennbom-Lindner, PTA cashier) and include the name of
the student(s) and class.

Meetings:

The PTA meets bi-monthly during the academic year. The meetings are open to all parents of IESU students to attend. The school principal is invited, and generally attends all meetings, giving the parents an opportunity to discuss current opportunities/issues with the school administration. If you have suggestions on topics and/or like to submit questions for discussion at an upcoming meeting, please send them to us at iesu.pta@gmail.com

Get involved:

Joining the PTA is a good opportunity for you to meet other parents and being able to have an influence on your child’s experience at IESU.

Some activities are one-off efforts and others last a term/year. We welcome any involvement.  Together, we make the PTA strong!
